Strand Holdings (1997) Limited, trading as Onetangi Beachfront Apartments Terms and Conditions General Terms and Conditions
1. Booking Confirmation:
By engaging in a reservation with Strand Holdings (1997) Limited, trading as Onetangi Beachfront Apartments (“the Property”), you acknowledge and agree to adhere to the stipulations outlined in these Terms and Conditions.
2. Reservation Requirements:
To make a reservation, guests must be at least 18 years old. Valid government-issued photo identification is mandatory at the time of check-in.
3. Payment:
A 50% payment is required at the time of booking, with the remaining 50% due on the day of check-in. Payments are facilitated through the Onetangi Beachfront Apartments website (waihekeisland.co.nz).
4. Check-In and Check-Out:
Standard check-in time is 2:00 PM. Early check-in from 1:00 PM is available free of charge if space permits or from 12:00 PM for an additional fee of $40. Check-out time is 10:00 AM, with complimentary late checkout until 11:00 AM if available or until 12:00 PM for an additional fee of $40.
5. Additional Persons and Bedding:
Additional persons subject to availability: $40.00 NZD per person (Adult or Child 2+ years) per night, up to the maximum room occupancy. Split beds: $40.00 NZD setup fee. Sofa Bed: $40.00 NZD setup fee if required (and if there is not an extra person charge in place already).
6. Pets:
Pets are permitted by request only, incurring an additional $40.00 cleaning fee per dog and a $200 pet bond.
7. Discounts:
Summer Season: Bookings for 3 nights or more qualify for a 10% discount on the entire stay.
Winter Season: Bookings for 3 nights or more qualify for a 30% discount on the entire stay.
Discounts are not applicable during public holiday weekends or peak season.
Accommodation Rules
1. Occupancy Limits:
The number of guests per accommodation unit is specified at the time of booking. Exceeding the maximum occupancy without prior approval may result in additional charges or eviction.
2. Noise and Disturbance:
Guests are expected to respect fellow residents, maintaining minimal noise levels between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM.
3. Security:
Guests are required to secure their belongings. The Property is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
4. Parking:
Parking facilities are available, but the Property is not liable for any damage or theft of vehicles.
5. Damages:
You authorise Onetangi Beachfront Apartments to charge your credit card or invoice you for any damages to the premises, breakages, additional cleaning required, $30 for dirty dishes, $150 for call-outs for noise control, 1 night’s accommodation for cigarette smoke or excessive cooking odours in the room (no cooking of shellfish or curries permitted), or any other incidental charges as a result of your stay. Any unpaid invoices will incur interest at 1% per day after the due date.
6. No Smoking:
All of our accommodation is a SMOKEFREE zone. This includes all balconies and patios. There are three designated smoking areas on the outside corners of the property – please ask reception or check your in-room compendium for locations. Other apartments may smoke where ash trays are provided, but please be considerate of other guests and children.
7. Visitors:
No visitors allowed on the property after 9pm. No usage of sofa beds unless included in the booking. No pets unless by prior arrangement.
Refunds and Cancellations
1. Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made 14 days or more prior to the scheduled arrival date: $50 cancellation fee per apartment.
Cancellations made 14 days to 48hrs prior to your booking: Cancellation fee equivalent to 1 night’s accommodation per apartment.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours, or “no shows” are not refundable, and the full stay will be charged.
Cancellations made within 7 days prior to arrival, between December 25th and January 10th are not refundable, and the full stay will be charged.
2. Refunds:
No refunds will be provided for early departures or unused nights. Refunds for cancellations will be processed through the Onetangi Beachfront Apartments website (waihekeisland.co.nz), please allow up to 14 days for refunds to show in your account.
3. Force Majeure:
The Property is not responsible for unforeseen events beyond its control, such as natural disasters or acts of terrorism. In such cases, a full refund may not be possible.
Agreement
By making a reservation through the Onetangi Beachfront Apartments website (waihekeisland.co.nz), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions. These terms and conditions are subject to change without notice. It is the guest’s responsibility to review them periodically.
