Welcome to Onetangi Beachfront Apartments – where the sun, sand, and sea weave a story of warmth and hospitality! Meet the heart and soul behind this little slice of paradise – Brian and Alison.
How it all started...
Over four decades ago, this dynamic duo embarked on a journey that would shape not only their lives but also the picturesque landscape of Waiheke Island. Brian, with a dream in his pocket, managed a thriving Four Square in Oneroa, while Alison’s passion for education found a home in the local school. Their story took a turn when they ventured into the world of hospitality, acquiring the Roanna Maree motel in the idyllic Onetangi, with a beachfront section.
Whilst running the motel, they decided to build seven more apartments creating the Onetangi Beachfront Apartments, offering a front-row seat to the stunning beauty of Waiheke.
Beyond their role as hosts, Brian and Alison are adventurers at heart. With a passion for cycle touring that spans the globe, tramping through nature’s wonders, and embracing the therapeutic joy of swimming.
In the early 2000s, the couple expanded their horizons to Aotea Great Barrier Island, where they dedicated 36 hectares to a thriving conservation project. The commitment to preserving the environment reflects their deep-rooted connection to nature. Aotea is off the grid living, by contrast Onetangi is a haven complete with home comforts.
With three children and four grandsons and constant travel plans, Brian and Alison’s life is a testament to the value of bringing people together over food, sharing stories of life long adventure and creating future plans. As they continue to explore, create, and cherish the moments that matter, they extend an invitation to you – to be a part of the Onetangi Beachfront Apartments’ experience.
Come, join us on the shores of Waiheke and enjoy the restorative power of nature and life’s simple pleasures. If the hosts are not travelling, you will often find Alison in the garden and Brian maintaining the property or up for a yarn. You will be in the capable hands of the Onetangi Beach Apartments managers for day to day queries (the original motel situated behind Onetangi Beachfront Apartments).
