Founded in 1985, Stonyridge Vineyard is internationally acclaimed for its Bordeaux-style reds.

Located in a sheltered valley in the heart of Waiheke Island on the Onetangi Straight. As one of the first to plant Bordeaux varietals on Waiheke in the early 1980s (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cab Franc, and Petit Verdot), Stonyridge helped define the island’s world-class red-wine identity. Their flagship Bordeaux blend, Larose, put Waiheke on the global map. Stephen White’s 1987 Larose is often referred to as the greatest red wine made in New Zealand. Larose 2006 notably scored equal first in a blind tasting ahead of legendary Bordeaux names like Château Latour.
