Mawhitipana

Dean and Caroline Henwood oversee the “Estate” blocks of the vineyard, which include the original ‘House’ block extending from their homestead.
Mair and Simon manage the “Ridge” blocks, named for their elevated position on the slopes of the vineyard. Together, these families are dedicated to kaitiakitanga—protecting and enhancing the land for future generations and the local community.
Wine Varietals The vineyard specializes in Pinot Noir, Rosé, and Sauvignon Blanc, each crafted to reflect the unique terroir of Waiheke Island.
Wine Tasting and Cellar Door Mawhitipana’s intimate cellar door offers visitors a chance to sample their handcrafted wines in a cozy, relaxed setting. The owners often host tastings, sharing stories behind each wine. While there is no restaurant, check ahead there may be a tasting platter or else you may be able to bring your own snacks to enjoy with their wine.
