SOHO Wines is a boutique winery founded by Rachael Carter in 2009. The establishment of SOHO Wines was driven by Rachael’s ambition to create a unique premium wine brand that embodied a passion for life, culture, and all things fabulous. The first wines were produced using grapes from her father’s vineyards in Marlborough and Waiheke Island. The ongoing Ethos is to utilise the Carter Family Vineyards & other boutique estates, 3 of the best New Zealand winemakers from Waiheke Island, Marlborough & Central Otago and to give each wine its own distinctive style & personality. The winery has won many gold medals and champion trophies.

Services and Offerings SOHO offers a portfolio of wines from:

• Waiheke: Brut, Rose, Chardonnay, Syrah, Merlot Blend;
• Marlborough: Sauvignon, Riesling, Chardonnay; Pinot Noir Rose; and
• Central Otago: Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir

Their contemporary tasting room provides a chic setting to sample a breadth of wine varieties. Some organic wines are also on offer.

Location and Getting There

SOHO Wines is located at 74 Onetangi Road, Waiheke Island. It is easily accessible by car or bus from the Matiatia ferry terminal, taking approximately 20 minutes or 5 minutes from Onetangi.

Lunch

Casual walk-up service offered at the SOHO Street Food truck with open seating on our deck & lawn. No bookings for groups of 6 or fewer.

Bookings are available for wine tasting with street food bites or lunch for groups of 7+. Prepayment or deposit is required through their online booking system.
